This reminds me of a Doctor Who episode where everyone has an implant in their brain and the government uses it to control them like puppets. Or that one episode where the entire human race lives on a space station which is ruled by a giant alien in secret, and everyone has chips in their head there too. The COVID19 overlords must be fans of Doctor Who.
