Watching the first episode of Lookism always scares me. It shows exactly what my life would have looked like if I hadn't started trying.
The main character is a short, overweight guy who is awkward and has no friends. He is at the bottom of his class and gets bullied constantly. His bullies even force him to act like an animal. His mother is incredibly kind but very poor, and she spends her days collecting boxes for money. Even though she is starving, he complains about the food she gives him. Eventually, he has to go to a trade school because his grades are too low for anything else, and he ends up in the beauty program by default.
