Eq overrated?

I have been looking into eq(equipoise) and i have yet to make a decision on if its good or bad, it seems promising just it requires careful hematocrit managment, i want some thoughts on it, in a tren cycle.

Literally just bought fabfilter like last month and I use it constantly instead of ableton eq because I like it so much my focking CPU has been taking an absolute beating tho lowk

Not 100% the reverb and compressor were worth the money but I still use them
