What is actually essential in terms of skincare?

All the guides here have some long list of specific products they use, half of which sound like memes. Skincare and hairloss seem pretty similar in this respect. In hair loss there are a couple of things that do 90%+ of the work and the rest are extremely marginal with little evidence behind them.

I know daily moisturizer, SPF if going outside and occasional exfoliant are basics. There’s also tret (which looks like a nuclear option to me, shedding most of your skin off an making it extra vulnerable to UV)

What else should you include that has a significant impact?

tretinoin or accutane and diet, everything else is worthless cope

I started using some aveeno moisturizer and I’d say the difference in appearance is significant

Moisturizer is above everything else. It will be the difference in 10 years time between you looking your age/older or 5-10 years younger. Moisturize your face and neck. Simplicity is key, foam based face wash + moisturizer in the morning and night. That's it. If you then have issues, you can research and add 1 product at a time.
Having said that, there is a woman on youtube who is 60+ years old and easily looks 10-15 years younger, and she claims it's because she's been using tretinoin for decades. Accutane is not worth it due to potential sides, tret might be worth trying for its anti-aging.
Diet and exercise obviously plays a crucial part of how we age, alongside genetics but we can't really change those.
You look at the average 30-35 year old and they're fat and look like shit. Goyslop diet + no exercise + men don't really bother with a consistent skincare routine. There's also the thing about anti-oxidants and other anti-aging properties found in certain foods/supplements.
tldr: face wash + moisturizer + tretinoin = golden

Acutane (Isotretinoin) is the ONLY thing that solves acne problem, everything else is cope, so it’s worth it if the person has acnes, for everyone else not worth it

It's not the only thing for Acne, and even if you do it, it needs to be temporary. Long term usage of Accutane is just asking for trouble.

All others dont work, at maximum slighly reduce, but dont end acne or even greatly reduce, acutane ends. Is the only solution, rest is cope

And you are right that need to be temporary, its like 6 months to 1.5 year depending of the severity of the case and how the person respond to it
