There were a few people in my family who tried to make this happen & cancel Christmas.

But all that happened is the host said "we're happy to have anyone and if you don't come we understand". They didn't show up and we had Christmas without them. Then when they learned that and that we have basically continued on meeting up without them they have stopped talking to us. This has gone on for 2 years, they don't respond to emails anymore lmao

its getting normal to have some distance to everyone.. i think its because everyone nowadays are on the internet (pc or smartphone)
they dont interact that often.. in some years ethnics will also be separated.. it has even started in the last 5-10 years
