@Gengar Nobody in the Netherlands regards an American from New York who claims to be "Dutch" as so. Yeah, some colonists came from what we call the Netherlands now 400 years ago. Doesn't make their children more Dutch than a Moroccan who was born and raised in the Netherlands and speaks Dutch natively.
@PrinceLuenLeoncur Plenty of Yanks claim to be "British" and nobody takes them seriously. Nobody will claim that some random American is more British than Idris Elba.
Also, I'll debunk the myth of "Amerimutts".
"CEU" and "EAM" are the Americans. They don't differ substantially if at all from North/Central Europeans though they do differ from Greeks and Tuscans.
CEU have no genetic differentiation from Germans and almost none with 5 other European groups. Yet nobody considers "European" Americans to be of them. Because skin colour doesn't determine ethnicity.
If a "Dutch" American goes to the Netherlands, he'll always be seen as an American. If a "Pakistani" Dutch or "Pakistani" Briton goes to Pakistan, he is seen as British/Dutch. Only Nigerians regard their diaspora as part of them.
