Europeans in their centuries of history have continously and intensly been fighting each other

In the conquest of peru. Pizaro ended up getting into a civil war. They were literally fighting eavh other in the capital city of the Incas with them just watching them kill each other

There are hundreds of examples like these. The Thirty years war, the severn years war, the war of spanish succession, napoleonic wars, anglo Dutch wars, British civil wars. All of these wars and thousands of people died for such a trivial and pointless reason.

Europeans have always hated each other and jumped at every chance they get to destroy each other.

Peace in the European Union is a historical anomaly, but war was bound to happen again, Europeans are very tribalistic, which shows with Norway and Swiss refusing to join EU, or United Kingdom leaving. And now Russia is waging war on Ukraine for an idea of Russian Empire-building and not viewing Ukrainians as its own state.

All this is because Europe is divided into many countries, and not united like China or India. It’s like the warring states period of China. But all in all it’s largely due to tribalism. Denmark and Sweden were arch-enemies even though they are basically the same people genetically. England and France constantly waged war because English kings claimed the French throne due to their French origins. Hell even Norway had a period of 110 years of civil wars from 1130 to 1240 fighting among themselves on who should be king.

Makes for interesting history though. Europe was getting boring before 2022 happened tbh
