Charities can be used to funnel money into, a lot of tax write offs you can say are due to expenditure, you do have to provide evidence of this though but you can inflate the amount of expenditure that way your not having to pay the full amount of tax. There’s other ways I cannot be bothered mentioning rn and yeah investing is another way to do this in other companies. YT has a lot of videos on the subject

Well I am not German and currently I make 1600 EUR after taxes. I live with my family so I have no expenses other than food or drinks, clothes, etc, whatever I wanna buy. In my shithole country, this salary puts me in the top 10% of all earners. I am not a C-suite, after all.

In Europe you can decrease your yearly taxes by using the loopholes of the system. For example if you change your windows in your house you have a 5% tax reduction for the ecology and shit. Then you can grab 5 other % by changing your heating system, then you can invest in local companies that give you another 10% for increasing the local economy and creating job opportunities. To sum it up, the amount you invest is not even close to the percentage you take off your tax at the end of the year.

Think of it likes this, you spend a total of 50k euros investing which brings you money in return the next year, and get 200-500k off your tax depending on your yearly income.

Edit: it’s kinda like an under the table deal between the government and rich people. This is why the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor.
