I battle the heat. You don't battle the cold if you are dressed enough, you embrace it. Living in cold climate allows to wear epic warrior outfits too. Can go shirtless and swim too from time to time, see wim hof.

Who tf wants to be constantly dressed in layers?
Much less freedom of movement, not fun to exercise in, cold when changing, after showering etc
