Here's one take. Not sure I agree.

Let's assume normal distribution and will model it based on IQ.

LTN: 2nd-16th percentile (borderline impaired to lower intelligence) - borderline deformed to well below average
MTN: 16th-84th percentile (lower average to upper average) - low MTN to high MTN
HTN: 84th-98th percentile (above average to superior) - low HTN to High HTN
CL: 98th-99.9 percentile (gifted) - low CL to high CL
Chad: 99.9 percentile (genius) - Chad

Obviously, there are big variations within each group.

It works better than I imagined. You're as likely to see a chad as a syndromic person if you follow this model.
I've seen an absolute handful of chads in my life. Very few CLs. Mostly see HTNs and even they are rare. The guy in the thread I'd say falls into 84th - 98th percentile somewhere. Not bad.
