Even my old itis didn't like musicians

the only reason she liked the fact that i played bass was because her brother was a bassist and so she felt a "connection" with me. when i told her i had quit my band she approved and said "Good thing you did that. Your career is more important than those losers".

The only way being a bassist would have been useful was if i was making money as a tutor in addition to a stable job ofc. Having two incomes would have made her wet i think. @Primalsplit rly wish you were around back then, it could have been salvaged

I don't think it's a bad thing to play music. It's not gonna bring you much money if you're not actually really talented (which is much more than technical accuracy. But you won't have that unless you have the passion). But it's a very nice cool hobby. You can't depend on it for your life though.

Stable job + cool hobbies is a very nice image you can have as a person.

its a bad thing if you are older than 20-23. if i was high IQ back in 2018 instead of playing in a band, i would have nichemaxxed on instagram. even her brother quit that stuff eventually cuz we are rly just beating the air.

. It's not gonna bring you much money if you're not actually really talented

it brings you nothing even then lol. there are literal virtuosos on instagram that only their friends know about. the amount of work musicians outweighs the gains

i was suffocating when i played in my band cuz i knew it was a waste of time. even my old itis approved that i left them (the only thing she approved). its not worth it imo
