Every how much should i get a mainetance trim, and if so should i just ask for layers or cut a little the front side?

the layers do last forever
you need to trim the hair every couple months maybe but the layers arent gonna somehow all grow to equal length magically

If i got layers, every how much u say i would need to do a trim? When i reach my desire lenght just be trimming at that point?
