you are going through old photos with your friend, you come across this one photo of your friend from 2-3 years ago, suddenly he starts laughing and says:
"haha holy fuck look how weird i look in this picture, i was so ugly back then"
you look at the picture and take one look at your friend, and think to yourself: "wtf, he looks exactly the same" but you laugh it off, pretend to agree and move on.
people really think they change over a couple years of time, when in reality they stay exactly the same. maybe a different haircut or a couple of pounds but generally there is 0 difference
so next time you see a photo of yourself from 2-3 years ago, unless you lost a shit ton of weight or had surgeries, remind yourself to stay away from the delusion that you are different now, you are just as ugly as you "used to" be.
