This is because “assault” doesn’t actually mean what you think it means.
It actually means behavior in a threatening manner, or “intentionally giving the illusion of being a threat”.
BATTERY is the actual act. Beating someone is battery. Slapping a chicks ass and squeezing her boob out the blue is battery.
Assault can be slapped onto any behavior the “victim” decides.
JUST FUCKING LOL AT EVER TALKING TO POLICE AND TRYING TO “EXPLAIN” YOUR “SITUATION” AND NOT HAVING A GLOCK IN YOUR POCKET TO MATCH THEIRS
