Everyone u look at, no matter what they’re successful in, got lucky at some point in their story. It’s impossible to be successful without luck and a surprising amount of it is entirely reliant on luck.

This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still try, it just means you need to keep on trying until luck is on ur side

Hard work has never gotten anyone anywhere. I’m sure the random guy at the car wash works very hard but he’s still working at a car wash and he always will.

The only thing that will get you anywhere is smart and consistent work combined with luck

Hard work isn’t cope man
It is, if ur not smart and lucky enough hard work will never pay off.

Say you wanted to knock down a wall, punching it constantly all day every day may be hard work, but you’ll never knock the wall down

Idk dude

The second I started working hard I saw results.

In my looks, my grades. Then I stopped. I lost everything

Good grades don’t count as success 😂 look at ur teachers they likely all got good grades and now they’re stuck teaching u for shit pay and long hours

Yeah but you got lucky enough to be born in a first world country where you could get an education, You can’t attribute all your success to hardwork

Success is subjective :feelsuhh:

unrelated but, I would argue the only objective form of success is happiness and content
I suppose ur right, but the success I was referring to is the average population’s idea of success.

Sorry I should’ve specified

In my opinion the formula for success is preparation (hardwork) meets luck = opportunity. Without one or the other it is impossible to succeed because no amount of talent can bring you to the level of someone with 1000 hours in something.
