That percentage is empirically accurate. With the mean being 100 and the standard deviation being 15, using the z-score formula: z = (120 - 100) / 15 = 20 / 15 ≈ 1.3333. Now finding the probability of the z-score from standard distribution, P(Z > 1.3333) ≈ 0.0912, you can apply it to the average amount of users on this forum, 200,000. So, 200,000 × 0.0912 = 18,240. So, 9.1%, as I said. 120+ IQ score is decent but it is not considerably above average...

not saying nobody here is of that range, however way more people who are mid or low iq think they are in the higher end of the spectrum
I've only seen 3 or 4 notable users claim to be anything above 120, and it's usually believable. However, I think my numbers are skewed strictly because of how many ethnic third worlders are on this forum.

Yeah, but there arent many notable users in this forum to begin with tho. most people on the forum fall into the grey/ blue area and you are assuming only the ones that you have seen claim themselves as 120+ beleive they are of that range. It is very likely that there are many more of those notable users that may beleive they are high IQ but just haven't posted about it for now.
Intelligence is accurately measurable but most online tests are complete bs.

I guess cognitive metrics is a bit better since it has multiple tests that it takes your iq score from and it is much longer than the mensa test.
