Yeah, it's sad. Idk what honestly matters but striving for something in all the meaninglessness of the universe, it's probably the best bet. Everything ends and gets replaced, but you still have the memories. Although sometimes it feels painful to recall the memories. Just do whatever you want within reason and try to live by your own code.
