You probably already know what retatrutide (reta) is used for. Reta is a glp-1 agonist that suppresses appetite, makes you less resistant to insulin, and slightly boosts your metabolism among other things. A lot of greys in terms of peps love the idea of reta because they think it will do all the work for you when in reality you have to discipline yourself. Reta is still a great thing to take even if you aren’t cutting, as it makes you more sensitive to insulin
With reta, you have to know when you will pin, how much to pin, and how to reconstitute.
Reta is typically pinned once or twice a week. With pinning once a week, one would pin on a specific day, let’s say tuesday for the sake of it, and then one would to pin next tuesday as well. It typically would not be a big deal if one pins a day early or late, but they should try to do the same day.
Typically, one would pin .5-1.5mg. I have heard people saying start with 2mg, and in my experience, I would not do that. There are two reasons.
Price: Every week, you have to pin around .5mg more as your body gets more used to the reta. Of course, when it runs out, buying more costs money, so you get similar results for more money.
It might be too much for you: If you pin too much you can get nauseous, and I think it’s better to pin less, see little results, and figure out what a good amount is for you. One should always use alchohol pads or sterilization to clean the top of the vial, the tip of the needle, and the place being pinned. This is extremely important. One should use the same needle twice.
Remember, typically the amount pinned is bumped up weekly by around .5mg
Remember, follow all doctor instructions, and pin what they say.
Reta is typically reconstituted with bacteriostatic water which can be purchased on amazon. For every 10mg, one would use about 100 units of bacteriostatic water to reconstitute. That’s a full 10mg insulin needle, but I’m not sure if you are supposed to be using an insulin needle for reconstitution. Remember that one never uses the same needle used to reconstitute to pin. When the BAC water is in reta vial, the vial should be lightly rotated until there is no powder or fizzing and the liquid looks clear like water. There are lots of tutorials on youtube for reconstitution.
Reta is pinned in fat. One should not pin in a vein, and should avoid air bubbles.
When the reta is in powder form and not reconstituted, I believe is medically recommended to store in a fridge away from light 38-48 degrees fahrenheit (double check this). It is recommended to do that, however, many say that leaving it in a room temperature place away from light works too. First option is typically preferred.
When it is reconstituted, it should stay in a fridge with around that temperature. Remember to do actual medical research for more accurate information.
