Biblical Evidence for Jesus’s Divinity

1
. Jesus identifies as God: In John 8:58, Jesus says “Before Abraham was, I am.” This is a reference to Exodus 3:14, where God identifies Himself as “I AM”. His audience understood this as a claim to divinity, which is why they tried to stone Him.
2. Jesus accepts Worship: In Matthew 14:33 and Matthew 28:9, Jesus is worshiped, and He accept it something that in jewis tradition, is reserved for God alone.
3. “I Am” Statements: In Gospel of John, Jesus repeatedly uses the phrase “I am” (e.g., John 6:35, John 8:12) a claim to divinity similar to God’s self-revelation in Old Testament.
4. John 1:1-14: The opening of Johns Gospel confirms that “the Word was God” and became flesh in Jesus. This identifies Jesus not only as divine but also as the active agent in creation.
5. Pauls Writings: In Colossians 1:15-17, Paul calls Jesus the Creator of all things, and in Philippians 2:6, he confirms that Jesus existed in “very nature God” before His incarnation

Theological Points
1
.The Trinity: The doctrine of the Trinity teaches that Jesus, the Son, is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, John 14:9).
2.Jesus as the Image of God: Colossians 1:15 calls Jesus the “image of the invisible God”, meaning He reveals God’s nature fully.
3.Incarnation: The fact that Jesus is both fully God and fully man (as confirmed in Nicene Creed) is central to Christianity. The Incarnation allows God to truly identify with human suffering, while still remaining divine.

I am serious? Ik sometimes I post crazy stuff here but u have to remember Christians arent sinless. The Bible make it clear that even believers still struggle with sin. In 1 John 1:8, it says, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves.” While we are forgiven through Jesus’ sacrifice, they are still called to repent when they sin (1 John 1:9). Being a Christian isnt abt being sinless and perfect but rather abt relying on God’s grace

Rev 22 is a very clear passage.

12“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
And it says
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”
Whose angel? God's!
"And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must"
