Any highIQcels here know why Europeans developed much longer mandibles/chins from their African originals? What caused this?

Chin used to help in preventing injuries during fights .
That is why strong chins are masculine and attractive for the opposite gender .

Damn here it says chins r side effect or something
My guess is that stronger jaws came with stronger chins like a bundle and helped early humans survive.

But in some studies it shows chin protrusion is a result of human face evolving to be shorter compared to ancestors

Strong chins are part of a collection of features known as progressive (rather than archaic) traits. Archaic traits resemble primitive hominids. Bimaxillary protrusion/prognathism is an archaic feature, and strong chin/"balanced" profile is the opposite. Progressive features are universally considered more attractive than archaic features.

Not sure if that answers your question, just giving some context.
