Also OP what I have noticed with longer midfaces it helps people a lot more to be lean and have a solid jawline to balance it out, I know this is important for everyone but it really fucks up looks to have a long modface and potato jawline.

I noticed this too. I just looked at an old photo of me when I was lean and my face looks much more proportional. Having fat cheeks greatly accentuates a bad midface ratio I think.
To calculate I go from pupil to pupil and then down to where the upper lip begins. Its IPD divided by horixontal length from pupil to upper lip. I just use a pixel measuring tool.
