Exercising hard and with goals is the best cope.
You get dopamine in healthy amounts, become healthier so you'll have higher smv when you're old, actually become more attractive with decreased fat and increased muscle.
There's no reason to not do it except health reasons.

It improves overall mood and energy levels and gives something to strive for, it can also help with being social and meeting people.

Except this droopydogcel just decided to pick equipment that directly faces me, when another machine was completely empty!

I do running and lifting mostly, very good combo. To be really fit you need both cardio and muscle training unless training for a sport imo.
 
I enjoy cardio because it makes me so tired that I go to sleep for ages after wasting time, because life is boring. It also feels good after you have completed a hard run.
