i use l'oreal scrub most days

it is literally impossible for your skin to form such thick layers of dead skin, unless you have some condition that hinders the natural ability of your skin to exfoliate

Why, I've been doing it for years.
Because that is incredibly harsh and you simply don't need to (read:shouldn't) be that harsh with your skin.

I think my skin has toughened up after getting used to it. I don't even get red marks anymore after doing it.

That doesn't make it okay to do though.

Jesus this guy need to nuke his face lol

Maybe, but I don't know if it's much worse than regular exfoliators with grit and chemicals in them.
Yes it is.
Grit? Don't use a physical exfoliant then.
Chemicals? Everything is chemicals bro, I'm going to need you to be more specific about which ones you have an issue with.

Oh fucking hell not the EWG. They are full of shit. Dangerously so. They are in no way, shape or form a reliable source and (unless something has changed very recently) are telling people about all of these "toxic" ingredients without employing a single toxicologist.
Wtf. Where's a reliable place?

If you're buying your personal care products from reputable brands, then they are safe. Things like ThinkDirty and the EWG are there just to make money, not actually help you.

Usually the famous brands have the most crap in them, same with foods.

Which crap precisely do you have an issue with?
I have sensitive skin so a lot of things, I just try to look for stuff that get good ratings on amazon and egw, then I'll consider it safe. Until now I don't think I've had any issues by doing that.

If it works for you, go for it. But just know that neither of those are at all reliable.

I'll just stick with the products that are working for me now and not change them to be safe.

Not strictly true. Don't get me wrong, they're obviously motivated by profit- but they don't necessarily make it from the cheapest stuff possible.

Should I still exfoliate if I use RetinA? And is it a good idea to use vit c serum on one day in the pm and retinA on the other day?
