What are the pros and cons of an orthodontist expander such as a homeoblock vs thumbpulling every day for 2 mins every 2 hours.

Would reccon palate expander, pressure from thumb pulling is not constant like palate expander.

Yes it is a palate expander which use slow expansion, remodels the maxilla and mandible, increases FWHR, Stimulates the cranial sutures for new bone growth and sutural homeostasis, Signals the periodontal ligament and generates an epigenetic response for maxillary growth and facial symmetry, Creates space for teeth straightening ,Promotes proper swallowing and proper tongue posture, Tones the pharyngeal airway and reduces inflammation, Opens the ostia to allow the nitric oxide to reach the back of the nose, Discludes the mandible and allows the jaw to come downward and forward.

The dentist who made this appliance is Dr. Theodore Belfor, a New York based pioneer in the treatment of Cranial Facial Systems.

For even more potential improvement this dentist : "https://wonderofwellness.co.uk/biologicaldentist" has an appliance you can add to you bottom teeth which is for myofunctional therapy. Myo is really good as it trains your face muscles especially the tongue which will make your face symmetrical :aheago:
I've seen claims that a tooth-borne expander like a homeoblock will only widen the airway and flare the teeth, not acutally create new bone in the face. Do you know if such claims are true or false?
