Just got kicked out of Highschool year 12. Im almost 18 and I don't know what I should do.

Should I try and get an apprenticeship or just get a normal job.

If you’re tough enough apprenticeship would be the best thing for you. If you have any family/friends that can help you get into the union. that’s the route you should go. If not thug it out in the non union world for a little bit.

Depending on where you are you might be able to get into a union off rip, but the lesser known ones primarily. Unions that have an easier time bringing on apprentices are Heat workers (insulation and shi), tin knockers (hvac ducts and shi), stone masons (brick layers), cement masons (concrete finishers). Lesser known unions so easier to get in

Everybody and their mama wants to be a plumber, electrician, or hvac right now so I would stay away from those.

My personal favorite trade is carpentry. Lots of different avenues to go down. However the union is notoriously nepotistic.

Cool thing about blue collar jobs is they don’t care if you’re a rougher type of person. That’s who you’re going to be working around as well. I’m assuming you’re a rougher person since you got expelled. Get your GED asap.
