Experiences on oral minox?

What's your personal experience on oral minoxidil? I'm thinking about starting 1mg but I've heard mixed anecdotes in regards to water retention.

I've heard some say that the water retention is negligible in lower doses while others say they bloated like crazy on doses as low as 0.5mg

I ideally don't want to touch topical because of the PGE2 driven lipolysis
