explain why custom chin implant is bad

Your chin is connected with the geniohyoid muscle as far as i remember. If you get an implant your chin looks good but if you get genio then your chin looks got whilst also raising your hyoid bone a bit improving your jawline

i get that but it's more invasive with a longer recovery period and i feel like with regular genio there's less precision with how they can add squareness and correct symmetry? some sources claim genio is somehow more precise than custom implant but i really don't see how that would work

Then do the implant. i personally would go for a genio any day but if you dont fw it then there aint anything we can really talk about. Just do an implant then. Well I suppose that an implant could have a higher chance of looking uncanny cuz its a fucking block and then the overlap from going to the implant to your mandible wont look smooth. I think thats why a genio looks better cuz it also its ur fucking bone, if you look from the side back you wont see a bump or smth

custom implants have an extra layer of design which can be botched by the uncompetent surgeon (90% of the time) , standard implants are sometimes modified during surgery by good surgeons to adapt to your tissues. Both would probably look at least somewhat botched realistically

Bc fillers are goated and if you have a lot of money just get a genio if your chin so fucked up multiple it has a higher rate for infection but its wont infect after its heal

this is overexaggerated but if the red thing is ur mandible looking from upwards and then on the left the blue is the implant on the sides it will always be bulky its just not possible to not be bulky

i prefer the right side with the genio, the blue forward position looks way smoother but im not even tryna argue if you want an implant then just go for it

If your chin is asymmetrical your jaw probably is as well. If you want to correct asymmetry you should fix the underlying cause not put a patch on it with an implant or genio.

Not with that but asymmetries aren't genetical, they are a result of muscular imbalances created by poor function. You don't need surgery for that

The result is never as good as the preview , at least it wasn't for me. Soft tissue will not blend perfectly after the modifications most of the times. Also i doubt the doctor exactly knows how to fit your request , only few autists do these implants and they have done only few cases probably. Genio can fix asymmetry and will make it more defined (i guess is what you mean with squareness) but cannot increase widening , in fact it will look more narrow.

I had it and my surgeon also didn't bother to fix the step off with bone graft or other material or to plan a symmetrical cut , also he made it asymmetrical during the movement one part is a lot higher than the other

communication did not matter it was just poor execution by his part but ye i was sure that theoretically i had the result i wanted (which i did not) , ye he's low iq af or botched me on purpose it's pagoni , but also know people that had same botched results with ramieri and other shitalians so i strongly recommend to never go with them

If you actually had surgery with one of the most reputable surgeons out there and you got botched there is no way you are still supporting it, saying it could work with a better doctor. You are probably lying or very delusional, but probably the first one
