Not saying this is true but this is the most natural belief, and if you start from a position of true absolute nothingness it seems ridiculous that somehow existence just animated itself from this.

My view is that there wasn't a finite beginning but the true nature of this question lies in dimensions of space and time that physical organisms cannot comprehend.

I could grant that a deistic god exists but again not a personal one described in any religion. Not one with morals.

I am a perennialist so believe that all religions are true. This sounds ridiculous at first but there is a serious school of philosophy espousing this with very intricate, thought out beliefs explaining and defending this and I personally think they make a lot of sense.

Regardless, I'll just give you one thought which is just say that something that is there is an isomorphism between some logical axioms and structures in reality in virtue of the structures being systematically constrained by certain equations. So that would be grounding which I'm just taking to be an in-virtue-of relation.

Also he is right that this assumes conceptual realism but if you just believe logic is just a tool to organize experience then you don't need any objective grounds.
