Explaining JWHR (One of the most important Jaw measurements)

have you ever wondered why some guys with good jaws something looks off?
lets take a example
david gandy.
A very tall lower third, very masc Chin,Good bigonial, Chin to philtrum etc, well. Something looks Narrow/unideal
is because he has a narrow Width compared to his height although he has a good bigonial witdh

he has a unideal JWHR
the ideal range is 1.85-1.95
you measure the philtrum to the chin and gonions

The craniofacial complex is all interconnected
Gandy is capped by cephalic index to not have a jaw width relative to the rest of his skull any wider than it currently is (can't exceed bizygo)

The only variable that can change is chin height, but lowering chin height for a better ratio of something that is an extension of the larger ratio FWHR doesn't make sense for dimo loss tradeoff

It's too reductive to look into JWHR imo

i mean, well, every is correlated somehow, is like saying "Fwhr is correlated to Bitemporal length" theres not directly correlation but wider zygos, a more different bitemporal, but yeah, you are right

what did you use to make the legend/measurement markings?

imo 1.80-1.95 is a better range because if one were to morph gandy with that extra 6cm i feel like that would be pretty damn close to ideal

i would keep the upper bound at 1.95

Terço inferior muito alto, queixo muito masculino, bigonial bem definido, queixo bem proporcionado ao filtro, etc. Algo parece estreito/não ideal.
Isso ocorre porque ele tem uma largura estreita em comparação com sua altura, embora tenha uma boa largura bigonial.

Ele tem um JWHR nada ideal.
A faixa ideal é de 1,85 a 1,95.
Você mede a distância do filtro ao queixo e aos gônios.

sadly i dont get into that categories tbh, i only know the most Harmony, im very new in the other pillars.
