Yes it affects the bone support and will affect facial looks if a fake one isnt put in there. This will happen over time.

From just 1 molar extraction it cant be that much surelyYes. Its not good to leave that gap there too long and the stuff just magnifies if you ever were to lose a 2nd tooth.
