Interesting. I already assumed cold stunted growth but I would not have thought heat would as well since saunas increase HGH temporarily. Now I see that is a poor reason to assume that heat would be beneficial for growth.

Why are Nordics and Dinkas so tall then? They come from cold and hot climates respectively.

Looking into it, apparently no-one knows why they're so tall, the hot climate is a theory and another prominent one is that most of them are cattle farmers so consume a lot of unpasteurised milk. Recent studies say the average male is exactly 6'0 but there are loads of outliers and 7 footers are common. Even at that, a 6'0 average in a third world country definitely means they are the tallest people on earth.
