Eye area: From my worst flaw to best feature, with only softmaxes.

At 17, my eye area used to be the worst part of my face. Now, at 19, its argueably one of my best features. Not only have I seen great improvement, but im still actively improving, this is not the end result as of yet.

⚠️DISCLAIMER: The change in my eye color is genetic, I was born with bright blue eyes with yellow rings around my pupil that "bled" into the blue slowly turning my eyes green, that has finally evolved into the weird green hazel color you see above. Please note this was not due to anything I have done and is purely genetics.


AND BEFORE YOU GUYS COPE BY SAYING IM SQUINTING, ANYONE HIGH IQ CAN SEE IM CLEARLY NOT SQUINTING.


Firstly, ill point out some of the biggest changes to my eye area.

  1. Far lower set eyebrows
  2. Significant reduction in upper eyelid exposure (UEE)
  3. Longer eyelashes
  4. Better groming


Now heres how I achveded this.

Changing the shape of your eyebrows can be a very easy and fast looksmax that can be achived for free.

Its very simple: firstly get thick eyebrows, as you can see from photo 1, mine geneticly are already quite thick. Due to the rest of my face I prefer to have them a bit smaller. When cutting your eyebrows to shape, you want to do it in a way that makes them look as positivly tilted as possible. this can be done by keeping the outer side as high as possible, and the inner side as low as possible.

Heres a visulisation of what I mean:

As you can see you can easily create a more positive tilted aperance just with smart grooming.

Also make sure to use cheap eyebrow razor to clean up the sorounding area.

Now, alot of people might call this a cope, as it gets near oscar patell and baby strickly methods, however, I personaly saw results from this and do think there is some science behind it.


I belive the main reason my eyebrows became low set is due to a combination of neuroplasticity, muscle memory, and habitual proprioceptive retraining.

heres a study that give some evidence to the function: Principles of Neurorehabilitation After Stroke Based on Motor Learning and Brain Plasticity Mechanisms (2019)

Basicly how this works is, by purposly doing something like forcing your eyebrows downwards by squinting, for long periods of time, after a long amount of time, will become the new resting state.

So basicly squintmaxing all day might really become permanent.

This may be somewhat cope, but you can see the differnce in the photos, so what other explaination is there?

There isnt the most significant change in my lashes, however I did make some improvements, all by using only two things

Castor oil

Topical minoxidil

Apply castor oil nightly and generously. This helps with thickness and eyelash health, however saying that it will increase length is cope.

Now for minoxidl. Its very very important to not apply it directly to your lashes. As this will NUKE your under eye area and cause fat lose that is irreversible and will make you look far worse.

So how do you apply it?

Apply it to your eyebrows. Yes this will effect your lashes. Make sure you monitior daily to ensure you dont lose fat anywhere in your eye area.

For this fat loss reason, its also why I refuse to lose any lash serum as they are going to ruin the fat under your eyes. Also, topical minoxidil Is better as oral causes significant bloating.

Upper eyelid expousre, is argueablly the most important improivement I made to my eye area. And I did this for free, however this is what took the longest.

Here are the two methods I used:

Eyelid pulling

Eyelid iceing.

Eyelid iceing is suppost to build fat under your eyes. it might be cope but it takes 10 seconds a say and is free so why not try,
Eyelid pulling involves using your fingers to pinch and pull the thin skin underneath the eyebrows, closer towards the inner eyebrow area. The idea is pulling these areas downwards often will over time strech out the skin and cause a fold. instead of writing my own paragraph, just read this far better thread


And thats it. All these methods are very easy, cheap and seem to work well. So if you arent trying them then you are missing out.

Why don't you just send a straight picture no squint. I am pretty sure it's nearly impossible to change eye brow setness as they are depended on your supraorbitals. Squinting is only temporary fix. And your thread only applies to dudes with average to above average shape and color. It doesn't apply to deathneeks, who rather need a very compact and good pfl for their eyes to be noticed.

Pretty good about the eyebrow grooming and eyelash.
 
@Mandibulary ive been using tropical minox on brows and lashes for 3-4 months now and i apply it very carefully and wipe off any excess w tissue but my normie friends are noticing that i look more "tired", however if i stop using minox on lashes and cope w castor oil, my lashes lose significant length and my eye area looks far worser. I heard oral minox is a looksmin and bloats you too and latisse is an even more potent fat burner than minox. Not exactly sure what i should do here, i do hate the undereyes from minox but cant stop using it since my eye are gets nuked without my long curled lashes from minox. My sleeping habits are absolutely nuked tho from studycelling all night so that might be a reason but i can definitely say minox is making my undereyes look worser
