In this thread I will go over the most useful eye surgeries to help you ascend and discuss risk vs reward. I will only be going over major flaws in this thread so if you don't see a minor obscure surgery don't comment about it.
But first...
Why does it matter?
A lot of people will cope and say your mandible is more important for overall asthetics. This is untrue. When you look at someone the first thing you notice is their eye area. Mandible and submental region are still important for overall attractiveness, but a top tier mandible will never save a death tier eye area.
Maxxing out your eye area will usually give you the best ROI in terms of looksmaxxing (case dependent ofc), so pay attention to this thread and plan surgeries accordingly.
Best Hardmaxxes (in no specific order)
Canthoplasty
A canthoplasty involves the cutting of the orbicularis oculi muscle, then detaching the lateral canthal tendon from the bone, shortening and reshaping it before reattaching it to the orbital rim.
Fixes: Negative canthal tilt, sceleral show, bad eye shape
Risk profile: low, the only real risk is getting asymmetry which happens in about 9-12% of cases and can be easily fixed.
Orbital fat grafting
Orbital fat grafting is the process of adding fat from another place on your body to your eye area to fix hollowness or sunken eyes. It is a low risk procedure however some fat will reabsorb so it is not always consistent. You can also use filler for the same purpose but it is not recommend due to difficult dissolving and migration, although in small amounts the risk profile is low.
Fixes: Under eye hollowness, Upper eyelid exposure, sunken eyes
Risk profile: Low, main risks are uneven results, Lumps.
Double Eyelid Surgery
Double eyelid surgery is only useful for asians, but it is one of the more common procedures so I'll include it anyways for any asiancels. This procedure involves a cut being made along the eyelid, soft tissue being removed, and then sutures being added to hold the fold in place. This can help massively in some cases, and is a extremely accessible surgery.
Fixes: monolid
Risks: pretty much none just don't get it done by a sketchy surgeon jfl
Orbital Box Osteotomy (OBO)
This surgery is extremely high risk high reward (in some cases). Having bad IDP and ESR can completely ruin a face and beyond some softmaxxes this is the only option. I'll make a full thread on options for people with bad IPD, but in terms of surgery an OBO is the only way. Some surgeons will perform this surgery for cosmetic reasons, however it is rare and you will need to see a specialist with previous experience to not end up without vision. Giant Implants recently did this for a client, however we did not get to see the before and after but apparently there were no complications.
Risk profile: High, can either not work, make you go blind or just straight up kill you although this is rare.
Fixes: Close or far set eyes.
Orbital Decompression
Another high risk high reward surgery. This surgery involves shaving away some of the bone behind the eyes to allow the eyes to rest further back in the skull. Obviously risky.
Risk profile: High, you can go blind or mess up your eyes like Tufano
Fixes: Bug eyes
That's it. If I missed something lmk
