Eye doctor is wrong???

Got lenses yesterday but my doctor told me i can shower swim sweat in them but i watched and read some info about it but people advice not to anyone got experience with contacts??

got my contacts like 6 months ago, doctors didnt inform me about this, but i was aware. you are ok as long as you dont get water in your eyes.
