Optometry is sick shit. Close up vision from screens/books starts the issues, and glasses/contacts essentially turn it into a permanent disease.

contacts are not a problem but glasses are changing people's phenotypes and making them getting misstreated

contacts are a problem because they progressively worsen myopia the same way that glasses do.

Malnutrition can contribute to vision degradation too, too little vitamin A from animal foods + too little dietary taurine can and will also degrade vision. Vitamin A intake is not at what it should be for many since childhood that is why acne is so common too I suspect, lol. I mean even oral retinol in high dose is a proven viable acne treatment. Vegans often have glasses for a reason I think lol, chronic deficiency in taurine. Taurine is only classified as "non-essential" because you don't die without it but it says nothing about what is optimal.

But yeah once you start using glasses and contacts your eye muscles will atrophy and the vision issues become permanent and will even worsen as baseline even more.

It isn’t even the muscles themselves(initially the muscles can cause blurred vision/slight myopia) but rather the actual structure of the eye. The eye lengthens in response to glasses changing the focus point of the eye, and then as you develop, this process continues and becomes more permanent, especially if you continually increase your glasses prescription because of some kike optometrist. It literally wouldn’t happen at all for most people if not for them being forced to put torture goggles on their head.

Glasses/Contacts are satanic inventions

Yes but the muscles controlling your eye lens also atrophy with constant use of glasses. 😉 So you end up with even worse baseline is what I am saying. It is eye structure mainly yeah but when the muscles controlling the eye atrophy your baseline vision becomes even worse permanently.

@ShamelessClubSlut also wouldn't be surprised if the eye can elongate even further when the muscles controlling the eye get weaker.. muscles affect soft tissue development, if they are weak from use of glasses in youth especially maybe the eye will elongate even further lol??!!! Wouldn't be surprised, that plus what you described like wow.. glasses might be fucked for even more reasons.

Also no way so many people used to have bad vision in the past lol?? So many have/need glasses nowadays feels hard to believe bad vision used to be this common. 🤔 What do you think?

Poor vision has never been this common; the reason it is so prevalent now is the difficulty in producing eye dopamine (as people are exposed to less sunlight).

Hmm, how does eye dopamine get produced in sunlight?

it blows my mind that this barbaric shit is still in practice and that parents will put these things onto the heads of their children carelessly thinking it’s “the best decision”

Myopia is a disease of modernity. There’s pretty clear evidence that outdoor time decreases myopia and that myopia rates are lower among more “primitive” peoples.

Is that to say myopia would never exist? No.

But for most people, it just wouldn’t happen without glasses/contacts

exposure to sunlight (2 hours daily on avg) keeps the eyeball well developed during childhood and pubert this is why asian countries have so much myopia rates people dont go outside in childhood they study very much

90% of all asian "people" suffer from myopia and require glasses to live normal lives

I wear glasses and have been wearing for 2 years, am I cooked and what should I do? My family is dumb so I can't convince them to not use glasses what should I do?
