Let’s get this straight first.
Eyes are law.
If your eye area is bad, you’re done. No debate.
That said, negative canthal tilt is not automatically over if the rest of the structure can carry it.
I actually measured instead of coping.
Canthal tilt minus 2.1 degrees
Midface ratio nasion to subnasale divided by bizygomatic width 0.93
That’s the difference.
A compressed midface can partially rescue mild NCT by keeping scleral show lower and maintaining infraorbital support. The eye area stays tighter despite the tilt.
What people miss is that NCT only becomes truly lethal when paired with vertical midface excess.
Long midface with NCT gives a permanent tired and submissive read.
Short midface with NCT can still be passable or neutral.
This is why fixating on canthal tilt alone is low resolution analysis.
