It's faster to sell shit when you show your face. People connect with people. If you are charismatic enough you will sell easier.
My issue with this is because you are attaching your income source to your likeness and this is an extremely risky game.
Unlike companies, personal brands can’t shift responsibility to a department, spokesperson, or CEO. A controversy is a direct hit to their character and leaves lasting negative effects.
Some personal brands never recover.
If you want to go big and have a safe long term, you need to be faceless and anonymous. You can even make up a spokesperson for your company, but don't let the brand get too attached to a face.
Think about it: there's a lot of brands and products you consume that you don't have no idea about who is the owner - and you don't care about it.
The brand is enough. The product is enough. That's all that matters. Your brand and income sources got to stand by themselves.
