I still not settle whether or not sleeping position affects facial symmetry, I feel like it should to a certain extent. I want to do a small investigation here. For some reasons, I can't find good studies on this topic.

Let me know what sleep position you used the most as a child/teen (including sides) and if so, briefly describe your facial asymmetry (which side is more developed).

Have terrible asymmetry (left side much healthier than right) and almost always sleep on my side usually my right side but sometimes left

I used to sleep belly down with one side of my face resting on the pillow, that side is now 'caved in'. I'd consider myself lucky if I'd be able to correct that shit using the myobrace.

More data

slept on my right side more often, heart is beating too hard if I sleep on left. embrio, using cover almost like a body pillow

I sleep on both sides, right side more developed

No it doesn't it's all cope. Chad can sleep on his side and he will still have an amazing face because of GENETICS.

I am similar to him but to a lesser extent, well for the nose part, but I slept same position as him and it slightly tilted on that side too.
So slept stomach looking toward to left side, right side less developed, nose tilting toward the left.

I slept on my left side mostly as a child and I have slight jaw asymmetry with left side being less developed but it's not noticeable irl

Im not 100% sure and i dont have any data but that can effect your skull in general when youre a baby so it effects.

Swear facial assymetry is cope because you can't detect it when you're face is in motion, which is what matters

I always slept on my back but now have to sleep on my sides because sleep apneacel so if this affects my face I’ll just fix it with filler

A ton of animals sleep on their sides and don't have asymmetry, but obviously we have mattresses and pillows now that fuck posture up.

Always been a back sleeper, straight. My right side is overall larger than my left side, jaw is larger on the right but looks "sharper" on the left and less bloated.

If I can notice asymmetry between a girl eyes it is an instant turn off for me (was like this before I was BP)

Legit for me, I always sleep on sides and I am deformed now, but the causal relationship is still to be investigated

Which side, which asymmetry do you have resurrectedcel?

Should i sleep with or without pillows read somewhere that it affects posture?

I would recommend sleeping on your back with a very thin pillow for some comfort.

slept on my back 90% of the time when I was a kid.

Don't exactly know if I rested my face on my heads and what not, I only know that I touched my face very often.

My face is a little bit asymetric.

Asymetry definitey does have a genetic component though.

I mean there are animals whose asymetry is part of their genetic phenotype, like crabs that have one arm 3 times as big as the other.

They must have evolved somehow.

Every human is supposed to be slightly asymretric, regardless if sleep positions affect symetry or not (I believe they do)

It matters for pictures and online dating which is slowly becoming the only way to meet women.

Yeah, but for crabs, there is a clear evolutionary advantage for that, it is the same for lobster, having small facial asymmetry in the case of human doesn't, the genome could probably carry a load of minor asymmetries though since it shouldn't affect his fitness negatively if it stays minor, you can also have your own mutations on top of it that causes asymmetry themselves, but for the most part it seems logical that ideally humans should evolve to be facially symmetrical.

Genetics is not everything the effects of prenatal T, mouth breathing and back sleeping are well known. Brachycephalic skull = everything
