Combined with facebow, in theory, with a strong force and pulled at an upward direction for atleast 2 years can generate 3-5mm of forward maxillary growth and an upswing in facial form.

But this will not be enough for people that are recessed more than 4-5 in my opinion, and either lefort will be needed or implants if you want to cope with plastic in your face rather than bone.

What if you only want forward and upward growth? Is it possible to use MSE to split the sutures and once you have the split only use face mask or bow appliance for protraction and stop turning the MSE screw?

But by splitting the suture you will get 2-3mm of lateral expansion
Use copeandropes facebow with MSE
Youll have to get the ortho doing it to personalize your mse so you can attach the facebow to it

Bad neck posture makes me look normal but I don’t want to live with nerd neck. How would I go about asking an ortho for this kind of treatment since MSE is typically used for expansion?
