Facial measurements get retarded at some point

I think the concept behind facial measurements and calculating harmony is great.
But I sometimes see it get to a point that's kind of ridicilous to me. People are coming up with the most random thing and put it in relation to something random and then use it to calculate someones harmony score with an accuracy of 99,99% instead of 99,9%
Atp just put everything in relation to everything and measure every single angle you possibly could. Like you could create ideal ranges for literally anything.
And I mean there might be some reasoning behind it, but unless you are selling people your bullshit rating services it really doesn't matter for you in the slightest.
In the end as practical application for people it matters to know what their issues are, in what way they harm their appearance and how they could go on about helping the issue. I think measurements exist to be an indicator of that and not to create an arbitrary set of measurements with their theoretical ideal ranges.
Just my opinion

Good thread, i think arbitrary features of someones rating system usually is just to set themselfs apart and sell a scam

But that goes for most things so just dnr anyone not attempting to use real evidence

U should have like a at least a 2:1 rep post ratio. U gotta talk with the algorithms or smth. Have seen you a lot, ur fire. Mirin

Obsessing over facial measurments meanwhile they have horrible skin, horrible hair, zero drip, zero muscle mass or over 15% bodyfat, not even softmaxxed

Peak retardation

The only facial measurements that matter are the ones that compare features together, like facial thirds or nose-to-mouth ratio.

Jaw related ones like gonial angle and occlusal plane, that by the way used to be discussed on here more than they are now, are important because they can be used basically as medical diagnoses to see how the face grew. ESR, FWHR, that kind of shit matters way less because they’re not medical, not objective, not even measured properly by many people on here.

I kinda agree, also stuff like esr isnt even that accurate irl because of the 3d development, which isn't captured on pictures
