introduction
this is less of a "boo face ratings" and more of lack of understanding on my behalf but i have some questions bout facial ratings
1. Golden ratio
not all but as far as i know some of the ratios such as lip to nasal base ratio are still used as 1.6 ideal
which maybe true but what is that based on? Any actual research or the golden ratio
cuss if its based on golden ratio then its js psuedoscientific bs
2. Isolating variable
the ideal ratios. Even if its taken from research how is it measured in isolation? Like if the test subjects rate x% esr the highest then that only means the specific age country or culture demographic of people prefer this esr on this specific face
But how is the variable isolated? How do u know if the most prefered wouldnt be diffeerent on different face
Or is it accounted for?
3. Valuing of numbers
lets say u got all the ideal ratios n stuff but what value of power does each ratio have in the final result
How is that decided? Cuss not all ratios are built the same
If ur ear is sticking out too much that matters way less than if ur philtrum is too long or not
And this even applies for broader areas like ur cheecks play less of a role in the attraction than the eye area
And even goes from broader catagories like misc is more important than angularity
So basically what "research" is the valuing of these metrics based on for face raters
4. misc measurement
How the fuck do u like measure misc without having ur feelings n subjective opinion in the resulr
Like some stuff i get it like tan skin is most appealing so thats easier to measure
But stuff like whether someone has "worser" skin than someone else
How is that measured
Also a side note on misc i feel like misc is heavily under valued like its the 2nd most important pillar after harmony

i might be fully wrong on this but dont face raters usually treat more dimo = better lookinng in their ratings
Which is just straight up not true
So if this is the case doesnt that make their ratings worse?
