failed surprise party for me

im so embarrassed from this, my friend has been being ominous for weeks about something thats gonna be a surprise and i didnt lnow what it was, it's not my birthday or anything special, so i thiught it was gonna be something bad. I finally got him to tell me what it was and he said that a youth leader tried to coordinate all of the youth to have a surprise party and show up at my house because i had recently switched to another building away from all of them, and i asked when it was gonna happen and he said it was cancelled because not enough people volunteered to come

genuinely ruined my day, went from "oh cool they're gonna surprise me" and then all of a sudden to "none of them even cared to say bye to me" knowing that it would be rare to see each other again

im like lost for words ngl, i knew i was kind of friendless and i have always felt alone, but the people who i thought were actually chill and nice couldnt even take a few hours of a day to celebrate me leaving. kinda fucked up

You never know why they couldn’t show up, as far as you know they couldn't get people to volunteer. don’t beat yourself to much on it. If anything spend it with someone really close to you just that one person. It’ll feel a lot better.

They just celebrated without me. Brutal.

My father was calling me on the phone too, he was aware of where i went, and when i told him that i'm still waiting he audibly sighed through the phone JFL, pops just knew his son will be surfing the org in the future.
