So I’ve been with this girl for only about six months. She’s met my dad and my sisters, but not the rest of my family yet. My mom’s side is super strict and very religious


Anyway, my dad slipped up one day and told my grandmother that I sometimes stay over at my girlfriend’s place when I don’t pick up the phone. And ever since then, every single family gathering turns into a lecture about how I need to get married . According to them, if I don’t rush into a wedding, I’m being immature

im only 21 and im not trying to get married tomorrow and I just want to date like a normal person without being pushed into something huge

You don't need to live up to your family expectations lol, especially if they just want you to rush into irrational decisions. Be your own man and make your own decisions, tell them that you're your own man aswell.

There's no world in which a 21 year old should be pressured to be married, you're young and only 6 months into a relationship.
