Can’t believe people suggest this
you basically feel like you’re dying of hunger
a high protein high volume caloric deficit is very easy to sustain, even a deficit of 1500kcals if you do exercise and have the right foods

Intermittent fasting helped me lose weight faster than the normal calorie deficit

Niggas pork out the whole year then wanna get lean in 1-2 months. If they had adhered to a 500-750 deficit consistently since january they'd already be lean or at least close to it by now

Whenever I fast, I always end up binging and I feel like death the entire time.
Eating 1000kcals a day i feel great and have something to look forward to

I disagree. Intermittent fasting can support weight loss by improving appetite regulation, blood sugar control and metabolic flexibility, easing the transition between glycolysis and ketosis. It has to be a regular thing though. Occasional, extended fasts over several days up to weeks or even months do very little for long-term weight mangement. Consistency is key.

EDIT: Also, your problem isn't fasting or binging; you're just eating too little. You have to eat to satiety, not based on a calculated number that has very little to do with what's actually going on inside your body. Every time someone says they fail at their diet, they're restricting. And then they wonder why they "relapse" and binge and the cycle starts all over again.

Intermittent is fine
i do that anyways
im talking about days at a time
ive been restricting and im doing just fine now that i eat daily

Only legit way to fast is intermittent fasting. With prolonged fasting you just lose muscle as well. With intermittent you get the benefits of fasting over 12 hours but still getting your nutrients. With a caloric deficit high protein diet in your eating window you will safely lose weight without losing much muscle

People who fast for days fell for the fasting meme, you just feel horrible with being so hungry and you risk binging.

I always fast 18 hours and have a 6 hour eating window

I did a 800 calorie deficit last summer for 2 months, lost abt 7kg, but it was horrible feeling hungry all the time

Fasting is better

Its alright tbh short term and keeping track of proteins but i made the mistake of doing it for too long and having an insatiable hunger which made me gain 8 pounds in 3 weeks lol
