It's not cope but you don't need to fast to slow aging you can achieve the same effect by lowering calories they both work by the same mechanism: calorie restriction
Fasting is a form of caloric restriction

It’s fuckin cope

You’ll burn away ur fat pads, most likely lose bones, get oeateoporisis, lose your youthful glow, lose your red undertones and turn grayish etc

Doing 18/6 like 3 days a week isn’t too bad but once you start imtrrmittent fasting 20/4 every single day it’s a looksmin

It’s even worse with keto

Maybe if you eat a bunch of carbs during your eating window it won’t be as bad, but keto with fasting is the biggest looksmin there is

intermittent fasting have zero effect all meta analysis reports

Yes sounds like cope

I’ll just continue to eat Japanese food, Korean food, fermented Korean vegetables, and burger and Korean fried chicken once a week xD

It's not cope. Reactive oxygen species are a natural by-product of the metabolic process. these ROS are extremely reactive and often cause cellular damage as a side effect and contribute to many diseases such as cancer, stroke, or other disorders that can lead to death. Symptoms of aging are also associated with these ROS such as artery lesions and skin aging.

The Okinawans are the longest living population in the world and they're known for their very light diet.

The trade-off of fasting is that although you may live longer, your life is also way more boring.

Nutrition science is cope.

Most are smokers and it's rare to see anyone exercising, leading to a majority of the residents being overweight. But 300 residents of Acciaroli are more than 100 years old

Should we fatmax,smokemax?

its a cope @AlexBrown84 ; my suggestion for you is get ripped to see yr abs (10%bf) and then maintain that throughout yr life by doing calorie restriction/maintenance and exercising every day
IF is a form of calorie restriction= eating less , after all
if you eat for example the same 20 foods , you learn over time to calculate calories in yr head and eat less
also you can do 1 big breakfast and 1 big dinner with 8-10 hrs in between , drinking only water, fasting , by default
at least thats what im trying to do :Comfy::)

Doesn’t it destroy muscle though?

And plus I heard that working out fasted increases cortisol which nukes collagen and makes it harder to work out at your full capacity

It’s the only think stopping me from doing this tbh

Yeah but anyone with proper contractile tissue and actual good size on their physique wouldnt even consider fasting or any of that, calorie deficit is all you need, if your diet is on point(low to no sugars and no processed food) dont worry about collagen your going to look great and when your skin tightens up as you get leaner youll see for yourself

Who is this David Sinclair is it cope? Video says to fast and you age less

David Sinclair is an Australian Jew biologist known for his marketing overhyping claims about mainly 3 things supposed to increase healthspan and longevity:
1) NAD+ precursors called NMN (affiliated with companies)
2) Resveratrol (molecule found in red wine)
3) Metformin (for diabetics)

I've been following the longevity field for years as well as had conversations with multiple biotech space guys who have worked with Aubrey de Grey (my signature), I know what's up.

Sinclair is a salesman. Just look at his wikipedia page.
He's a good longevity promoter though (Joe Rogaine, Google talks, etc). That's why newbies learn about anti aging from him 1st.

The more complex and larger the organism, the less progress we have made on slowing aging for that organism.

Mice 25%. Dogs might get a 5%. Monkeys 1-2%. Humans..
Expect any fasting/CR mimetics to have a very small effect if at all. Resveratrol is a proven dead end, and blood sugar is a disease when high. Tbh I would start taking metformin after 35/40 + light HRT if I could.

If you want to know potential ways to really slow down aging, check out de Grey's SENS program, George Crunch, Greg Fahy and Jeff Bezos' Altos Labs.

The rest are BS for the stupid ones.

I think @Alexanderr made an anti-aging thread a year ago.
