genuinely the more i think about fat grafting the more i realise how OP it is

its so versatile and can solve so many more issues than alternatives

lasts way longer than something else like fillers

generally safe, won’t need to worry about being botched like you would with real surgeries

way easier to recover too

the only real flaws i can think of is that a lot gets absorbed and it’s quite expensive but man it’s honestly so clear of everything else

its a hard area to get right, the skin is extremely thin, any contour irregularities are visible. I'll probably get a second round after a few months if the lumps go away, if they don't I'll do a revision surgery

yeah the uneven fat spread is really the only kind of ‘botch’ you can get from fat grafting

really tough to get past when concerning eyes because like you said, skin is the thinnest there

where did they take the fat from btw?

i was planning to do something in the future where id take fat from an undesirable part of my face and replace it in my eyes for more hooding

that's not something that's commonly done, from my understanding the fat quality and behavior is a bit different in different parts of the body, something like the buccal fat wouldn't be ideal + the the regular liposuction process they use is traumatic obviously so the donor site would look horrible if it's on the face. i don't even know how that could be done in theory

btw, how does getting to 12% bf work after fat grafting?

say you’re 20% and after recovery you shred down to 12%. theoretically would it not also burn fat that was injected into you during the op?

to be more specific

i was thinking of using submental fat, you’d only be able to take a little amount but should be enough for eyes whereas id probably go for stomach if i wanted a larger session to a place like my chin

not too worried about how it’d look since it would fade eventually + id probably lock myself away from the world until recovery is over
