For a child is the mother or fathers height more important? I'm inclined to guess that the mothers height is more important since you essentially never see a child shorter than their mum. My theory right now is that the mothers height acts as a "baseline/bare minimum" to the childs height while the father is like an extension and adds extra inches. This is a pure theory though, there is not evidence for it so I'd love to be proved wrong. If you can link some studies, articles etc as well:soy:

Both your moms and dads heights matter about the same when it comes to how tall youll be. height is mostly based on genes from both parents, not just one. as you grow older, both parents’ heights play an equal role. there’s no rule that says the child has to be taller than the mom it just depends on the mix of genetics. Height isn’t fixed at birth butover time like it’s being reborn😉 as you grow. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24074318/
only thing that matters is consumption of raw milk

I think it's completely random I'm 171cm and my sister is 174cm (brutal)

But the theory kinda makes sense

Height is weird because I was taller than my dad (165) at 14 and now I’m 185
