Hey everyone, I wrote this message to my ex to apologize and express my gratitude, and I want to know if it reads well. It’s meant to acknowledge the pain I caused and to leave things on a heartfelt note. Do you think this version works better?
Message:
“(Her name),
I know this message isn’t easy to receive, but I felt the need to write to you one last time. Not to ask for anything, but to thank you and apologize with all my heart.
I hurt you, and I know it. My coldness, my mistakes, and seeking comfort in the wrong places really caused you pain, and I take full responsibility without excuses.
I learned too late that having someone so noble, pure, and loyal is a privilege not everyone deserves.
You were and still are a diamond, and it hurts to have lost you for not seeing it in time. I want to remember the beautiful moments: the excitement of that June 28th, that sleepless night, and your light, which I still hold in my heart.
I truly hope life gives back to you all the good you give, that you publish your poetry, that your career brings you happiness, and that one day you become the incredible mother I know you will be.
Thank you for everything, (her name). I carry you with me, and I hope time allows us to remember each other with a smile someday.
Take care.”
