From what I've seen, most people cope by imagining a happy future.
"I am gonna get a high-paying job"... "I am totally going to get CCW le fort 3 and ascend, bro!"
I, weirdly, cope by creating an idealized perspective of the past, which never really existed at all.
For instance, I reaaaaallly wanna go back to the days of high school, even though I felt like shit back then too. I remember it all in such a weird positive light, its crazy.
