Why do some individuals visit foreign countries expecting the locals to understand their language? It's astonishing how oblivious one can be. The responsibility of learning the language falls upon the guest not the host.

Nah its smart to know another language.

But I've seen on youtube before that ethnics get autistic as fuck when americans know another language so propably thats the reason

Yes its nonNT.

I saw some drunk 3PSL smelly polish homeless ppl yday and they were shouting in polish, which i could understand.

My friends asked me whether they were polish, i said nah idk cant understand.

Only white languages are a halo. Slavs are nonwhite therefore nonNT language.

You should feel privileged to have the opportunity to listen to Arabic with your dirty ears. Comparing such a grand and majestic language to English, a language that was imposed upon your ancestors by their masters, is an act of intellectual ignorance.

The irony is the opposite, learn your barber/Amazigh language or what ever Morocco used speak before 8th century.

I do speak Amazigh. However, the truth is that Morocco willingly embraced Arabic and was not compelled to do so, whereas the Afro-Americans had no say in the matter. In Morocco, our original language still thrives and is recognized as an official language. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Afro-Americans who not only lost their language but also their very identity.

Nope, 8th century warlord unqba ibn nafi from Syria brought Arabic to morroco by force. I've read about ibn battuta's work as a kid -- you guys even don't speak arabic but hybrid stuff of Arabic and amazigh.

With regards to America it's completely different dynamic, its not just African Americans who don't speak their original language, but so do Germans, Italians, pretty much everyone. Plus the op is mixed, so it barely even makes any sense for you to bring this up.

Uqba Ibn Nafi was not Syrian; he hailed from what is now Saudi Arabia. He served as a general in the Umayyad dynasty and initiated the conquest of North Africa, which was then under Byzantine control. It was not a campaign against the native inhabitants. Following their victory over the Byzantines, a treaty was established with the locals. However, tensions arose later when the native Berbers grew discontented with the taxation system, which favored Arab citizens over the Berber population. This led to the Berber revolt, resulting in the expulsion of Arab troops. Subsequently, indigenous Berber dynasties, such as the Almoravids, Almohads, and Marinids, emerged. Arabic was retained as the language due to its association with Islam. Over time, the Arabic spoken in these regions evolved into the current Moroccan dialect, as has occurred in other Arab countries. The colloquial language in these countries no longer reflects the pure original Arabic, which is now mainly reserved for ceremonies, literature, news, and official documents.

I believe there may be a misinterpretation of Ibn Battuta's writings, who was a Moroccan himself.

The distinction between Germans, Dutch, Italians, and other immigrants lies in the fact that they were not compelled to alter their identity, nor were they forced to migrate to America. On the other hand, African Americans were forcibly brought to America, resulting in the loss of their original identity.

I raised this point for a specific reason. He asserts that English is superior to Arabic, but all linguists would argue otherwise. The discussion began with travelers using their own languages in foreign countries, which led to a comparison of languages and which in turn led to you coming to his aid. And now me refuting your arguments.

Additionally, even if he is of mixed race, people often judge based on appearance, and since he appears black and has one black parent, it is relevant for me to bring this up.
